The Purpose of this book is to engage the student to gain an insight into, and broad awareness of , the development of English Literature from its perceived origins. Anglo Saxon period till date. Attention is paid not only to influential writers and movements, but to themes such as the influence of Greek Mythology, Religion and Politics.
